Rosendo handles energy matters, including regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. He represents clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Department of Energy, and federal courts. Also, Rosendo is a member of the team of lawyers serving as general counsel to the New England Power Pool (NEPOOL), a regional utility consortium engaged in the wholesale markets for electrical power. In this role, Rosendo represents NEPOOL before the FERC and regularly provides counsel related to the design and operation of the region’s wholesale electric markets.
Prior to working in the Energy and Utilities practice group, Rosendo worked as a litigator assisting companies defending claims alleging unfair trade practices, breach of contract, fraud and misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and violation of the Connecticut Product Liability Act.
In addition, Rosendo is an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and holds the rank of lieutenant colonel, having previously served three tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He is fluent in Spanish and an avid runner.
