MATEP, LLC, ENGIE NORTH AMERICA, PRESIDENT & CEO

Joe Dalton of ENGIE North America Inc. has recently been named Project Director for MATEP LLC, a microgrid and district energy system that has been serving six Harvard-affiliated medical institutions in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area in Boston with steam, chilled water and electricity for almost 30 years. Previously at ENGIE NA, Joe was responsible for representing the commercial interests of all of ENGIE’s business units before federal, state, and local regulators and legislators and ISO-NE as ENGIE NA’s Director of Government & Regulatory Affairs in the Northeast – businesses that included a critically important piece of natural gas infrastructure, renewable power generation assets, a retail electricity supply business, and ENGIE’s large and growing presence as an Energy Services, Solutions and Storage provider. Rounding out 25 year of policy experience, Joe served for 14 years on the staff of U.S. Representative (now Senator) Edward Markey in Massachusetts and Washington, DC prior to joining ENGIE NA. Joe is a graduate of Wesleyan University in CT, and serves on the Board of Directors of the New England Council, the Biomass Power Association, the Arlington (MA) Boys & Girls Club, and he is President of the Northeast Energy and Commerce Association.
