Shaela Collins loves horses, positivity, getting things done and complex policy. She uses her two plus decades of legal and energy experience to develop and implement regulatory initiatives that advance sustainable, clean and low-carbon energy policies to promote a healthy planet, a thriving society and safe, reliable and affordable energy services. She enjoys managing the strategy, details and multidisciplinary teams involved in bringing projects to completion with collaboration, compassion and leadership.
Shaela joined Eversource Energy in 2020 as a manager of regulatory policy, following the sale of Columbia Gas of Massachusetts, a NiSource company, where she was director of regulatory policy and senior counsel. In private practice, Shaela advised clients on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and public utility law. She was also a hearing officer at the Department where she provided advice on complex legal, market and policy issues, including the Commonwealth’s first net metering and long-term contract regulations. She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School in Boston and the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester.
Shaela and her husband, Scott, have two children, two dogs and a horse.
