As the Senior Manager of New Market Development at Ameresco, Kathryn is responsible for policy and regulatory affairs and helps facilitate new market development in key solar markets. Ameresco is a renewable energy developer and energy services company with over 360 MW solar installed and in construction across the US. Kathryn is the main point of contact for several solar industry associations and is actively involved in solar markets across the East Coast. In 2019, Kathryn was elected to the NYSEIA Board of Directors and serves as on the Executive Committee as the Secretary. In this role she has worked on the solar industry’s behalf to advocate for positive policy and regulatory changes in the State of New York, particularly in response to COVID-19.

Prior to joining Ameresco, Kathryn was a doctoral research fellow focused on energy and technology policy at the Harvard Kennedy School Belfer Center and at the University of Cambridge, and has held research positions at the United Nations Environment Program and the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation. Kathryn holds a PhD in International Relations/Political Science from the Graduate Institute, Geneva, for which her research focused on removing financial and regulatory barriers to renewable energy development.
