Additional Details:
Upon arrival, the Tour Leader will conduct a safety briefing and distribute personal protective equipment to all tour participants. The safety briefing will cover general visitor safety practices, and identify assembly locations in the event of an emergency. Tour groups will be escorted at all times, and will follow a prescribed route through the plant. Tour participants should stay close enough to the Tour Leaders to hear them speak in a normal voice. The Tour Leaders will lead the group, and a FirstLight employee escort will also follow the group as a trailer to ensure the group stays together. Tour groups must obey instructions from the tour leader, escort, and/or plant personnel at all times, and must stay with the tour group and on the prescribed route at all times. Waivers for signature will be provided before or at the tour.
Personal Protective Equipment – Long pants and closed-toe shoes with a uniform heel are required for all tour participants (e.g. no sandals, Crocs, ballet flats, or shoes with a heel). FirstLight will provide hardhats and safety glasses with side shields, as well as hearing protection if required based on plant operations.
Personal belongings – Tour participants must not bring bags, backpacks, food, beverages, or other items that might encumber their movement on the tour. Photography will be allowed in the plants, but Tour participants may not take pictures of the control rooms or of FirstLight plant personnel without their permission. The Tour Leader will stop at designated points for photography, and at other times tour participants should put away phones to avoid distractions and maintain full awareness of their surroundings.
Due to unforeseen maintenance or security restrictions, the tour may be cancelled at any time with minimum notice. Should this occur, the group will be contacted as soon as possible, and the tour rescheduled if possible.
