After years with retail electric offerings focused mostly on priced-based competition against utility basic/default service offerings, electric retailers are increasingly offering innovative products that offer choice to consumers. Areas of choice available in New England and other markets include innovation in term length, renewable content, bundled in energy-related services, non-energy benefits and services, and even non-usage products such as fixed price monthly subscriptions and free energy time blocks or days.
